Cut Copy is offering a new track called “Where I’m Going” as a run-up to their new album and work with Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Animal Collective) coming out this August. Get a hold of it below or on their site where you can also have a look at an in-studio process video.

“Where I’m Going” starts off with a jangly guitar rhythm followed by the friendly suggestion, “Take my hand if you know what I’m going through”. Brian Wilson-inspired “Ooo’s” and “Ahhh’s” appear here and there along with a backing organ track that calls to mind the Who’s “Baba O’Riley”, making this a fun, if not slightly derivative single entirely appropriate for summer play. Enjoy this one and be looking out for the full release early 2011.
